Who Benefits?

‘Hands Across Niagara’ recognizes the efforts that many are contributing to find a cure for cancer. We have many people in the Niagara Region that live with cancer and are having a difficult time finding a way to obtain quality of life. These are the people that we at ‘Hands Across Niagara’ will be assisting.

Funding raised by ‘Hands Across Niagara’ will help support Hospice Niagara- who provide those with cancer the ability to live with quality life. As well, we will financially assist those who volunteer to drive people with cancer to appointments, etc. or who care for the many that live with cancer.

The photos you see of the people on the home page are those like you. They care about quality of life because they may be living with cancer, know some one who is living with cancer or know a friend of a friend that is living with cancer. Those who are living with cancer (‘Angels with broken wings’) are encouraged to participate in the event also as there will be areas set along the route that they will have special access to.

We all benefit from the ‘Hands Across Niagara’ Event. What better way to bring the Niagara Region together. Holding hands, from Lock to Lock and in future from community to community, person to person.

So drop your e-mails and drop your cell phones and leave your computers and all your daily routines for a short time on June 4th, 2011 and pickup the hand of some one that cares about those living with cancer as much as you do and bring our communities together.
